Rothaus Im Gerber in Stuttgart

I only gave the 3 stars as a rating without text. Now I have to enter text here so I can read the full answer from the rated location. Of course I wasn't there a few days ago, but sometime in the summer. I was only asked for a rating by Google a few days ago, probably because I passed the Rothaus im Gerber again. My memory of the visit in the summer was not such that I would give it more than 3 stars - even though I was actually really looking forward to this brewery inn. Neither the ambience with the super cool atmosphere pulls me off my feet nor do I find the culinary experience so that I would warmly recommend the restaurant. But maybe it is actually a question of age and I have already outgrown the target group ...

Had a nice evening in the restaurant with delicious food and beer! We were even able to try different variations and were served very nicely. All round a successful evening! Greetings to the nice gentleman in the jacket! The two funny four! Everything was great. Highly recommend. Must try.

That doesn't fit as a brewery restaurant! Does not radiate comfort at all

We ended up in the Rothaus relatively late, the kitchen was already closed and we were hungry ... no obstacle for our waiters. They actually organized warm pretzels with butter for us! A restaurant / bar couldn't score better than with such wonderful service.

Lots of traditional dishes with a modern twist. I liked the burger very much. They also serve tomato jam instead of ketchup there. Also very tasty. The atmosphere is cozy and the staff friendly. We'd love to come back.

Very nice ambience and great bar with the many bottles ... very cozy and invites you to linger! Very good service and great atmosphere, a bit dark but pleasant. Food and drinks are great. Price performance ratio is appropriate. There is home-style cooking. We'd love to come back! Recommendable

We were there on Friday September 25th and September 26th. for tapping the keg on site. Good service and afterwards - the best beer we found in Stuttgart.

We were there with 7 people last night. We made a decision at short notice and called and they reserved a table for us immediately. The restaurant was pretty full, but the service was impeccable. The staff was very friendly and the food was delicious at good prices. I can only recommend it. The ambience, i.e. the decoration, is colorful, maybe not everyone's taste, but we liked it a lot. We will come back in any case.

Very cozy here. Great and very nice service. There is also food. Everything is very new and stylish. The toilets are also very clean. In terms of price, everything is within reasonable limits. I would love to come back for 1 2 beers ;-)

Great terrace and very tasteful interior. The service was excellent. You can sit there comfortably with several people and drink great beer. The Rothaus is super central and is easily accessible by public and on foot.

We came here with our group for a few beers on a Friday night and had a great evening. Bar gets very crowded but its still very spacious. Impressive and stylish furniture gives this bar a very trendy feel. We tried several of the Rothaus own beers and would highly recommend this bar to others. Especially check out their beer garden!

We didn't really get served. Had to order the same beer multiple times, and just getting the waiter's attention took forever. We were there a few hours, I got one beer. Food was good, though, when it finally came.

This is a very nice restaurant. The food selection is kind of limited but the environment is great and the personnel polite. The food is delicious. Recommended.

gave this place a test run with no preconceptions, was quite sold on the menu which sounded interesting, ordered the signature dish "Beef Brisket". MY conclusion is that people who do not know how to cook food and have no taste buds shouldn't run restaurants, an absolute mind boggling disaster on a plate. The beef wasn't rendered, it was tough as old boots, full of chewy fat and sinew and tasted quite unpleasant. The colsesaw was far too acidic and the beer/whisky/gravy really doesn't work, it just tastes like weird bbq sauce and nothing like beer sauce. I'm usually polite enough to clear my plate and eat anything but I couldn't bring myself to finish it, it was just too sad. I've just read some of the other reviews and can't believe they been serving this dish since opening several months ago and yet obviously don't know how to cook it.. ? time for a rethink, hire someone that knows how to cook?

I drink their beer ?a lot, even I live in north Germany. I didn’t know they have restaurant before I visited Stuttgart. I think it’s a very lovely restaurant & bar. The interior design is amazing. They try to create a cozy atmosphere. This is definitely a perfect place for a after-work-drink with comfortable chairs and some music. I would like to try some food here next time. Stuttgart is somehow very like some morden Asian cities. ??????

Very delicious typical local food and tasty beer! Location in the mall not ideal but design, service and food and drink quality won't let you down. Service very attentive and fast. Will definitely be back in the future.

On the lunch menu there is a good selection of different dishes under 10 €. I decided for the "Black Forest Sea Salad". The food can be quite see (see also picture) and also tastes good. Only the side dish bread still has potential upwards. The staff is friendly and very attentive. The decor is modern and chic.

Strike one: the portion of brisket was less than desirable. Strike two: they forgot my order of additional food I had to order because the brisket was so small. Strike three: serving cold, pre-prepared creme brûlée. I don’t normally post reviews but I felt as though I had to save other potential patrons from this sub-adequate experience. Save your money and get groceries from Edeka instead.

This place is quirky. But in a brilliant way. The interior is definitely original. They could have gone with old school black forest style but went for something modern instead with lots of black forest references (dark shingles hanging from the ceiling etc). The food menu is original as well. The Brisket was great. I can understand why some people found the portions small but if you want to stuff your face for as little money as possible you probably go somewhere else anyway. If they had teething problems with the service at the beginning they definitely sorted them out by now. Service was very friendly and very efficient. If I had to say one negative thing then that it is in a shopping mall. On the other hand, great place to pass the time while the missus is browsing the shops!

The most important thing first: Fortunately, the staff speaks no Badisch with one but normal. The Rothaus thing is definitely an interesting concept: much more modern than you would expect a brewery restaurant / bar and still with homely references to the Black Forest. The prices are okay for the location (cheese spätzle are at 12 € or so) and the portions of normal size (man is so tired because the girlfriend does not quite her plate). Incidentally, the food tastes surprisingly good, the beer is less surprising from Rothaus.

Great food and ambience! The goat cheese salad is amazing. And, they have excellent customer service.

The food was great, high quality food, like other reviews stated, the portions are rather small, but I’m ok with that. The Server took well care of us and the ambience was great! Give the place a chance and don’t run into conclusions specially when this is just their first week.

This place is Awful. I understand they just opened but they have a lot of work to do. The menu is way overpriced for how bad the food is and small. The servers do not know anything about the menu or drinks and even admitted the menu is bad and said sorry. The servers do not know how to take care of guests either. This place is trying to be trendy and new rather than care about the guest experience and the Food. Do not go here!!!
